14-Dec-2018: Air conditioners now added to studio apartments, deluxe and superior rooms

Being situated at 1,200meters (4,000 feet) above sea level, and being on a hill, air conditioning is normally not required in Escazu or at our hotel, and it is something we have personally never missed at Posada el Quijote.

However, as day time temperatures can at times get high, and parts of the year have high humidity, we have now installed air conditioning units in our studio apartments/suites, as well as the deluxe and superior rooms for those that require this.

Costa Rica is currently fully supplied by sustainable/renewable electricity generation. We hope it will stay this way and recommend all our guests to keep this in mind and turn off air conditioning units when not in room, and to take advantage of the cool, fresh breeze we have here in the evenings/nights when they can.
